More or less Final Results

It was a good election for the Democrats.

They are now the majority party in the House of Representatives, and news organizations are starting to call the last election in the Senate for the Democrats as well. Nancy Pelosi is poised to be the first female Speaker of the House (and third in line for the presidency).

Also... the Democrats picked up six Governorships, and won 275 State Legislature seats all across the country.

Will they be able to get things done? Will Bush work with dems, when he's spent six years accusing them of treason? Or will they do nothing but fight each other for two years?

I just hope the Democrats aren't as vengeful or poor winners like the congress they replaced.

More Results

Okay, I'm going to bed.

Here are the results as of Now.

Dems have picked up three senate seats, and they are ahead in two others.

It seems pretty clear the Dems will take the House of Representatives, though not sure what they majority will be.

Lieberman won in CT. I wonder what he'll do... and who he will sit with?

Results, Results

The Democrats are surprisingly competitive in Kentucky this year.

They are doing well in two close races in the 2nd and 3rd Kentucky Districts. So far slightly ahead, but there's more votes to count.

Ted Kennedy won re-elction is Mass. Who knew he was even up for re-election?

Ohio Governor is now a Democrat. This is the first time in 16 years this has happened.

Mass governor is going Democrat. This is a pickup for them.

And the first house district is being called. Indiana 8, and it's going Democrat. That's one pickup for them... they need 14 more to take control of the House of Representatives.

Midterm Elections

It's also Midterm Election Day.

Who controls Congress? Bush is increasingly unpopular, but the Republicans have a good voting base.... and they can get their guys out to vote pretty easily.

Expect updates throughout the day....

And.... I just got back from voting myself... see if you can guess who I voted for?

Big posting Day

Well I"m finally done this sitting of Course M. I've been studying like mad for the last couple of months (and a little bit before that of course), but as of 1pm today, it's done.

There should be more regular blog posts from now on.

I'll find out my results in January... and then... which exam I study for next :)
